I clean panels using a water-fed pole system, the same setup I use for windows and gutters. No ladder against your wall. Nobody walking across your tiles. I won't tell you a clean will transform your electricity bill overnight, because for most houses it won't. If your panels only have a light dusting, the lift in generation is modest. Where it genuinely pays off is on roofs that haven't been cleaned in a year or two, roofs with a low pitch that don't self-clean in the rain, or any panels shaded near trees where sap and moss get a grip. On those roofs, a clean brings a noticeable jump in generation, and it stops moss creeping under the frames. That's the kind of thing that turns into a bigger job if it's ignored.
